Kitrosser Associates was founded on a simple belief: the people who experience programs firsthand are among an organization's most valuable sources of knowledge. Mission-driven organizations collect an extraordinary amount of information. They measure outcomes, monitor performance, and track services delivered. These data are essential, but they rarely tell the whole story. To understand why programs succeed, where barriers remain, and how services can be strengthened, organizations must also understand the experiences of the people they serve. That is the work we do. We partner with nonprofit organizations, foundations, and public agencies to uncover the human experiences behind program outcomes and translate those insights into practical evidence that strengthens programs, informs strategy, demonstrates impact, and supports fundraising. Our Approach

Our approach to qualitative research is both rigorous and responsive. We employ a range of data collection strategies tailored to the needs of each project and utilize established methodologies such as thematic and narrative analysis, supported by structured coding frameworks, to ensure that findings are grounded in the data. At the same time, we remain attentive to nuance, contradiction, and complexity—hallmarks of well-engineered qualitative work.
